Black Hawk, Albany and Pec all out

WILLIAMS BAY - The fourth-seeded Albany Comets fell to top-seeded Faith Christian, 25-11, 25-6, 25-16, in a Division 4 regional semifinal, Friday.

The Comets, who finished runner-up in the Six Rivers East to Black Hawk, were led by junior Sydney Bump with six kills and two aces. Junior Courtney Pfeuti had seven assists and junior Hillary Best had 21 digs.

Southwestern 3, Pecatonica 0

HAZEL GREEN - The Pecatonica Vikings saw their season come to a close on Friday. Second-seeded Southwestern stopped the third-seeded Vikings, 25-17, 25-9, 25-10, in a Division 4 regional semifinal.

Senior Cassie Swenson had four kills and an ace for the Vikings and senior Kimee Chandler came up with 26 digs. Pecatonica also got three blocks from senior Elizabeth Ihm and four assists from junior Ellie Gifford.

Catholic Central 3, Black Hawk 1

BURLINGTON - The Warriors, champions of the Six Rivers East for the past four years, lost to Burlington Catholic Central on Friday.

Black Hawk won the first game, 25-23, but the Hilltoppers roared past the Warriors in the next three games, 25-10, 25-13, 25-19.
