WALWORTH - Big Foot's Rachel Heidenreich scored a goal in the eighth minute to help the Chiefs beat Monroe in a nail-biter 1-0 Tuesday.

"I really think it was an unfortunate early goal we gave up," Monroe coach Miriam O'Neill said. "It was a tough game. We had some good opportunities. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the back of the net."

With the loss, Monroe drops to 5-4-2. Monroe freshman goalkeeper Reily Pond had 12 saves. O'Neill credited freshmen Kennedy Ludwig and Ally Einbeck at center defender positions.

"I really have to hand it to our defense," O'Neill said. "They are doing a tremendous job. I have to give them credit for not giving up and keeping us in the game."
