MONTICELLO - The Warriors used a big second half on the defensive end to roll to a 44-27 Six Rivers East win over Monticello, clinching the conference championship.
Black Hawk led just 25-18 at halftime, but the Warriors were able to open the game up in the second half. The Warriors outscored the Ponies 11-2 in the third quarter to take a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter.
Black Hawk senior Rachel Rygh scored a game-high 15 points and Kate Quinn added 11. Monticello senior Taylor Pfeuti and freshman Marissa Berg each scored nine points for the Ponies.
Brodhead 60, Palmyra-Eagle 19
PALMYRA - The Cardinals (13-7, 11-3 Rock Valley) held Palymra-Eagle (0-19, 0-13) to just four field goals in the game while hitting three 3-pointers themsevles.
Mariah Mohns led Brodhead with 11 points, Carly Mohns had 10 and Blair Baumgartner added nine. Ten total Cardinals scored in the game.
Brodhead led 18-2 after the first quarter, 37-5 at halftime and 50-13 after three quarters.
The Cardinals, who have clinched the Rock Valley South Conference title, travels to Clinton (8-11, 4-9) Feb. 24.

JUDA - The Panthers got a solid, all-around team effort and knocked off Pecatonica 60-45 Friday night in Six Rivers East play.
Alycia Grenzow had 16 points and Ellen Kiser and Aly Pierce each had 12 for Juda (16-3, 7-2).
"We really distributed our scoring," Juda coach Curt Brown said.
Pierce scored all of her points on 3-pointers, including three in the first quarter. C.J. Dunwiddie had nine points and Jessica Rackow added eight for the Panthers.
Pecatonica (3-17, 3-7) was playing without senior guard Alisha Esselstein, was led in scoring by Ashley Johnson (13 points), Ellie Gifford (12) and Michelle Francois (9).
The Vikings host Barneveld (12-7, 8-2) on Feb. 24 and Juda travels to conference champion Black Hawk (20-0, 11-0) the same night.
Barneveld 54, Albany 46
BARNEVELD - The Golden Eagles outscored Albany 12-4 in overtime to clip the Comets.
Barneveld raced out to a 30-17 halftime lead before Albany rallied in the second half. The Comets outscored the Eagles 25-12 in the second half. Albany sophomore Cassidy Bump scored 19 points to lead the Comets.
The Comets shot 16 of 29 from the free-throw line. Barneveld was led by Madison Laube who scored a game-high 28 points. The Eagles made 18 of 32 free throws.
