SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk sophomore Natalie Leuzinger and freshman Bailey Butler combined to score 34 points and hit eight 3-pointers to help the Warriors cruise to a 62-26 win over Monticello Thursday.

Both Leuzinger and Butler scored a game-high 17 points and each made four 3-pointers. Butler was 4 of 7 shooting from behind the arc and Leuzinger was 4 of 9 on 3s.

"They shot it really well from the perimeter," Black Hawk coach Mike Flanagan said.

As a team, Black Hawk (16-0, 8-0 Six Rivers East), ranked No. 1 in both the Division 5 AP and WisSports.net Coaches polls, made just 10 of 30 3-pointers.

"We didn't shoot it as well as we have some games," Flanagan said. "A lot of teams would be content with 10 3s. It's just the reality that you will have some games where it's sub-par for us. We had some really good looks. There will be some games where we are not as hot as we were last week against Argyle."

Black Hawk raced out to a 38-11 lead at the half. Warriors sophomore Hannah Butler added 11 points.

Alyssen Noriega, Hannah Zanow and Alexa Siegenthaler each scored 5 points for Monticello (3-13, 2-6).
