MONROE - The Cheesemakers finished in second place on Saturday at their annual Best Ball Tournament at Monroe Country Club.

Kyle Bruce and Jessy Stagliano paired up to shoot an 80 for the Cheesemakers, which was three shot off the pace, set by McFarland's Cale Urso and Brett Kaether. Oregon's Brady Johnson and Joseph Pechauer finished with a 79 for second-place.

Dylan Wilde and Eric Timm carded an 82 for the Cheesemakers, which tied for sixth place, while Caleb Pagel and Ice Luengsathitkul finished with an 87 (13th).

Monroe finished with a total score of 249, just four strokes behind champion Milton. Oregon (250) finished third with McFarland (255), Fort Atkinson (260) and Monona Grove (268) struggling.

The Cheesemakers hit the course right away this afternoon, hosting Madison Edgewood at 3:45 p.m. at the Country Club. The team then travels to the Beloit Invite Friday.
