BLANCHARDVILLE - Senior Karson Feller scored 17 points for the Pecatonica boys basketball team, but the Barneveld Eagles stayed unbeaten in the Six Rivers East with a 53-41 victory over the Vikings on Thursday.
After the teams played to a 15-15 tie at halftime, the Eagles outscored the Vikings 20-10 in the third quarter and didn't trail again.
Sawyer Lee and Hunter Whitish led Barneveld with 12 points each. Junior Wyatt Massey added eight points for the Vikings (2-8, 1-3 Six Rivers East).
Pecatonica will host Fennimore in a non-conference game Tuesday.
Black Hawk 39, Argyle 29
SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk entered play Thursday averaging 39 points per game. That's what they got against the Orioles, and it was enough to get a win in Six Rivers East action.
The Warriors (4-5, 2-2 Six Rivers East) held a 30-26 lead to begin the fourth quarter, but limited the Orioles to just three points over the final eight minutes while junior Coltin Piefer drained a 3-pointer plus another field goal to go with baskets by Cuyler Meier and Seth Butler to seal the win.
Piefer and senior Hayden Schliem each scored 10 points to lead the Warriors. The Orioles (3-8, 0-5 Six Rivers East) got nine points each from senior Jared Johnson and sophomore Alex Treuthardt.
Black Hawk will travel to Monticello while Argyle travels to Barneveld Tuesday.
Clinton 62, Brodhead 43
BRODHEAD - Senior Justin Langley and junior Cody Risseeuw combined to score 44 points to lead Clinton in a Rock Valley South contest.
Langley scored 23 points and Risseeuw had 21 to send the Cougars into first place in the Rock Valley South at 5-1 and 7-1 overall. Senior Jesse DeLorme was the lone player in double figures for the Cardinals (6-4, 4-2 Rock Valley South) with 11 points.
Brodhead will travel to East Troy on Jan. 13 for a Rock Valley crossover game.
Watertown Luther Prep 66, New Glarus 51
WATERTOWN - Sophomore Trae VandeBerg made five 3-pointers to reach a game-high 20 points, but the Glarner Knights still came up short against the Phoenix.
New Glarus trailed 29-25 at halftime, but Watertown Luther Prep used a 1-3-1 press to begin the third quarter and outscored the Knights 19-10 to take control.
Senior Tyler Kreklow contributed 13 points for the Glarner Knights (4-7).
New Glarus will travel to Belleville for their first Capitol South conference game Tuesday.
