The Avalanche Squirt A team had two wins on the road on Sunday, Dec. 23. They shut out the Beloit Blades A team 6-0.
Tessa Janecke opened scoring for the Avalanche on an assist by Luke Kuberski. Also scoring were Cade Janecke (two goals), Kuberski (two goals) and Payton Stauffacher. Earning assists were Kuberski, Tessa Janecke (two) and Stauffacher. Goalie Heath Bear recorded 14 saves while the Avalanche had 35 shots on the Blades' goalie.
Later that day, the Avalanche knocked off Janesville Squirt A, 5-3.
Janesville opened scoring in the first period, and the Avalanche responded with four goals of their own before Janesville scored again in the third period.
Cade Janecke earned a hat trick, bringing his day total to four goals. Tessa Janecke also lit the lamp for one (Cade scored four total goals). Earning assists on the goals were Alyssa Knauf, Kuberski and Stauffacher. Bear recorded 20 saves.
Squirt B
The Avalanche Squirt B team traveled to Stoughton on Saturday but were defeated 4-2.
Scoring for the Avalanche were Bryce Montgomery and Colton O'Connor. The Avalanche had 20 shots on Stoughton's goal. Goalie Aiden Runkle had a lot of activity in the net and saved upwards of 30 shots.
