ARGYLE - Alec Treuthardt had three hits and Tyler Ritschard knocked in three runs to lead Argyle to a 10-1 win over Hollandale in a Home Talent League game Sunday.

Argyle improved to 8-2 and has a two-game lead over Wiota in the South Division of the Western Section.

Treuthardt went 3-for-4 and Ritschard was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Argyle's Justin Crotty pitched five shutout innings to get the win. He gave up one hit and struck out five. Argyle's Jarret Bauman pitched three innings in relief and gave up one run on four hits. He struck out three and walked two.

"Crotty was just going to throw five innings today," Argyle's Travis Erickson said. "He's not sore or tired. We just wanted to give him some work."

Erickson and Lee Bohlman each had two RBI. Wiota beat Argyle 4-2 earlier this season.

"Jeff Solberg dominated us," Erickson said. "There are still a lot of games left. We are not looking ahead. We still have to play Wiota and we want to split with them."

Wiota 9, Ridgeway 3

WIOTA - There were some fireworks at the ballpark in Wiota Sunday.

Wiota beat Ridegway 9-3 in seven innings after Ridgeway manager Jeff Garthwaite was ejected twice.

The game was called after seven official innings after Ridgeway players walked off the field in the bottom of the eighth inning.

"He (Garthwaite) didn't leave the field," Wiota manager Dick Schliem said. "He sat in the bleachers behind home plate and was irate with the umpire. There was a play in center field that was trapped. I have been around baseball a lot of years and that was a first."

With the win, Wiota improved to 6-4. Wiota's Jeff Solberg carried a no-hitter into the seventh. He pitched seven innings and gave up three runs on three hits. Ridgeway pitchers combined walked 10 and the Cardinals committed four errors.

"They got irate with the umpire for some of the pitches," Schliem said. "He really got after the umpire. ... Their pitchers walked 10 and they had four errors. It wasn't a really pretty game. It was an ugly game."

Wiota's Casey Schroeder went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Solberg was 2-for-3.
