ARGYLE - The members of the Argyle High School volleyball lost their focus for a few points after a 45-minute delay due to a tornado warning Thursday night, but regained their composure and scored a four-set victory over Juda.
The Orioles (8-2 overall) remained unbeaten at 5-0 in the Six Rivers East Conference with a 26-24, 23-25, 25-11, 25-13 win.
The second set was tied a 22 when the gym was evacuated. The Orioles missed two serves when they returned to action, and the Panthers (7-4, 3-2) capitalized to win the set.
"Juda served tough and played great defense," Argyle coach Jen Butler said. "We just had to make some adjustments and be more consistent, and we did that in the last two (sets)."
Butler complemented the net and back-row play of Ashley Bruehlman, who led the Orioles with nine kills, five blocks and 26 digs, and the serving of Kayla Butler-Paulson, who also had 25 assists.
