Argyle upends Belmont 13-2

BELMONT - Argyle sophomore Mason Waage had three hits and the Orioles exploded for seven runs in the second inning en route to a big 13-2 win over Belmont Thursday.

Argyle freshman Clay Ritschard had two hits and sophomore Gavin Johnson had two RBIs. The Orioles came through with nine hits compared to the Braves who finished with three hits. Argyle scored six runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach.

Orioles junior Mitch Flannery pitched four innings to get the win. He combined with sophomore Miken Godfrey on a three-hit shutout. Flannery struck out seven and Godfrey struck out two.
