ARGYLE - Senior Kyle Olson tossed a three-hitter in the second game to help Argyle beat Highland 2-1 in the second game to split a doubleheader Friday.
Olson pitched a complete game and gave up just one unearned run. He struck out nine and walked two. Olson also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
In the first game, Highland knocked off Argyle 10-3. The Cardinals pounded out 18 hits and tagged Argyle senior Colton Ploessl for 10 earned runs. Ploessl struck out four and walked one.
Argyle's Cam Treuthardt went 3-for-3 to lead the Orioles in Game 1. The Cardinals led 5-3, but broke the game open with a five-run seventh inning.
