MONROE - The Monroe All-City track meet on Tuesday gave dozens of summer school students the chance to experience a track meet.
Hannah Swenson finished first place in the 100-meter dash (17.18 seconds) and the 200 (:38.17). Swenson teamed with Jacelyn Moon, Montana Steinmann and Heather Burkhalter to win the 400 relay (1:15.2), which was just ahead of the second place team of Anika Einbeck, Megan Benzschawel, Kayleigh Nesbitt and Grace Mathiason (1:15.4). Burkhalter also won the softball throw (79-9).
Cheyenne Ladwig won the 400 (1:38.9) and Tatiana Bobrowicz won the 800 (4:12.4). Valentina Bartosik finished first in the 1,600 (8:09.1) and Cassie Gersbach won the long jump (10-5) and took second in the 100 (:17.32).
In the boys second through fourth grade competition, Trevor Boll won the 200 (:36.41) and the 1,600 (7:17.8). Dylan Fahrney took first in the 100 (:16.40) and second in the 200 (:36.59). Julio Vasquez won the 400 (1:33.1) and Kaiden Klitzke took first in the 800 (3:39.5). In the 400 relay, the team of Carson Leuzinger, Logan Leuzinger, Judson Rikkers and Max Patterson finished first with a time of 1:17.4. Tristan Teasdale took first in the long jump (9-10) and Keon Butler won the softball throw (114-3).
In the fifth and sixth grade meet, Alysha Witt won the 100 (:15.85) and the long jump (10-8). Elise Smith won the 800 (3:25.8) and the 1,600 (8:00.4). Morgan Seffrood finished first in the 200 (:34.18) and Rachel Meies won the 400 (1:22.90). The 400 relay team including Ally Einbeck, Olivia Werth, Sydney Mathiason and Kennedy Ludwig won the race with a time of 1:06.3.
Morgan Bachim won the shot put (19-5) and Natalie Faith took first in the discus (18-4). Sami Ellefson finished first in the high jump (3-2) and Paige Bittner was first in the triple jump (19-10).
In the boys competition, Drake Ingold took first in the 200 (:31.91) and in the triple jump (25-2). Ingold teamed with David Keegan, Jason Koller and Brayden Zettle to win the 400 relay with a time of 1:04.5.
Sam Kind won the 100 (:14.99) and the 1,600 (6:26.5). Koller took the top spot in the 800 (2:57.2) and was second in the 1,600 (6:35). D.J. Gersbach finished first in the 400 (1:20.5). Conner Foley won the discus (36-3), Wade Sweeney took first in the high jump (3-2) and Zettle took the top spot in the long jump (11-0).
Allyce Fahrney took first in the girls seventh and eighth grade 100 (:14.0) and 200 (30.42). Fahrney teamed with Ali Swenson, Jordan Hirsbrunner and Alicia Kuester to win the 400 relay (1:01.5). Hirsbrunner also won the 800 (2:55.8) and the high jump (4-10). Isabel Bazley took first in the 400 (1:12.6) and Kayla Einbeck won the 1,600 (7:00.8).
Natalie Dillon won the long jump 12-9), Mylani Peach finished first in the shot put (19-6) and Kaylin Eminger took first in the discus (45-0).
In the boys meet, Parker Ingold won the 1,600 (6:05.9) and the triple jump (23-8).
Seth Callaway finished first in the 100 (:12.40) and the 200 (:25.73). Ethan Kallas won both the shot put (28-4) and the discus (73-7). Nash Von Kaenel took first in the high jump (5-0) and Tyler Sobacki won the long jump (13-8).
