MADISON - Pecatonica-Argyle senior Matthew Amorose finished 36th place in the WIAA Division 3 state golf tournament on Tuesday.
Amorose shot a 14-over-par 86 at the Ridges Golf Course. Amorose finished the tournament with a two-day score of 181.
Elva-Strum's Mathew Higley shot a 72 and finished the tournament at 6-over-par 150 to win the state title by one stroke over Sheboygan Area Lutheran's Drake Wilcox (151).
Amorose racked up seven pars and two birdies. He birdied the 154-yard No. 12 and the 321-yard No. 15.
