Alpine Curling Club will host introductory class

MONROE - If you watched curling in the Olympics and would like to see curling at the local level, the Alpine Curling Club of Monroe is having their club championships for mens and mixed (two men and two women) this Friday night, March 12, at the Alpine Curling Club.

The club is located on the east side of Monroe behind the Cenex gas station. The entrance to the parking lot is a off of County K between the Newcomer Funeral home and the Monroe Veterinary service.

The mens is the results of 18 teams in three leagues and nine mixed teams in two leagues vying for the championship. At the present time there are no womens' teams.

There will be an introduction to curling class held March 13 starting at 6 p.m. at the club. All are welcomed to join and give curling a try.
