ALBANY - The Comets scored a big win Monday against Madison Country Day, 69-55.
Josh Dahl scored 16 points to lead the Comets. Josh Shell and Jamison Stauffacher each had 13 points for Albany, and Corbin Kelly added 12.
Albany led 36-28 at halftime. The Comets hit eight 3-pointers in the game and finished 10 of 14 from the free-throw line.
With the win, Albany improves to 7-15 overall.
Brodhead goes 1-1 over last two games
EVANSVILLE - The Brodhead boys basketball team beat Evansville Monday, 80-62.
The win improves the Cardinal's record to 8-13 overall and 6-11 in the Rock Valley Conference. Evansville falls to 8-13 overall and 7-10 in conference play.
On Saturday, the Cardinals trailed Edgerton on the road by just 2 points at halftime, 29-27, but the Crimson Tide rolled in the second half, winning by a score of 68-45.
Parker Johnson led Brodhead with 14 points, and Brekan Day had 10. Donovan Cone led all scorers with 23 for the Tiders.
