SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk senior T.J. Adams scored a game-high 28 points and drilled six 3-pointers to lead the Warriors to a 40-39 win over Durand (Ill.) Monday night. It was a 12-footer with four seconds left that won it for the Warriors.
Durand jumped out to a 16-6 first-quarter lead. However, Black Hawk answered by outscoring Durand 17-5 in the second quarter to take a 23-21 halftime lead.
Adams scored 18 points in the first half.
Durand outscored the Warriors 15-5 in the third quarter to take an eight-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Black Hawk (6-9, 2-5) outscored Durand 12-3 in the fourth quarter to seal the non-conference win.
