11 players named to Six Rivers first team

MONROE - The postseason accolades for the Juda softball team keep rolling in.

The Panthers were Six Rivers East Conference champions and made a run to the WIAA Division 4 sectional semifinal.

Juda (11-1 Six Rivers East) had four of the area's 11 players selected to the all-conference first team. Juda's selections included sophomore pitcher Amber Ramos, sophomore infielder Katlyn DeVoe, junior Megan Trotter and junior outfielder Alycia Grenzow.

Pecatonica had three players selected to the first team including senior pitcher Kaci Cassidy, junior infielder Ellie Gifford and freshman outfielder Michelle Francois.

Argyle (8-4), which tied Barneveld (8-4) for second behind the Panthers, had two first-team selections in junior catcher Jodi Fischer and freshman infielder Kayla Ostby.

Monticello sophomore Becky Nelson and junior Taylor Pfeuti each were first-team all-conference picks.

Barneveld's Taylor Ruchti was the Six Rivers East Conference Player of the Year.

Twelve area players received honorable mention all-conference recognition including Argyle, which had four players tabbed including, junior Kelsey Bartels, senior Kim Fischer, senior Jeannie Dammen and senior Jackie Dammen.

Albany had three players named honorable mention all-conference including, senior Clare Koopmans, junior Megan Farley and senior Tiffany Masseur.

Juda sophomore C.J. Dunwiddie and senior Tabitha Theiler were honorable mention all-conference. Monticello had two honorable mention all-conference picks including sophomore Karlie Klossner and senior Mersadi Hilliard. Pecatonica senior Kaitlyn Linder was also selected as honorable mention all-conference.
