Wilma Jean Scott, age 96, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Monroe Hospice Home. She was born the daughter of Ott and Opal (Cameron) Satterfield on October 10, 1924 at home in Centralia, IL.

Her family moved to Tampico, IL in 1938. She attended Mohline Public Nursing School from 1942-1945, earning her nursing degree. Wilma was united in marriage to Fred Howell Scott on February 2, 1946 in Niles, IL. They rented a farm in Yorktown, IL until they moved to Wisconsin March 1, 1959. Wilma worked at St. Clare Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 1992. She continued her nursing service volunteering for hospice from 1993-2011. She was also an active member of Peace Church in Christ in Browntown since 1961.

Wilma along with her husband, Fred, loved to travel. They visited all 50 states, numerous countries and went on several cruises. She loved to spend time with family, reading, crosswords and watching Jeopardy.

Wilma is survived by her children, Bruce (Chris) Scott of Browntown,WI, Steve (Mary “Rosie”) Scott Ocala of FL, Debbie (Jeff) Lueck of West Chester, IA, Patty (Loren) Imes of Clinton, WA, and Annette (Wade) Hetrick of Winneconne, WI; 12 grandchildren, Kim (Curt) Ziegal, Holly (Curt) Elmer, Bridgett Scott, Brenda Scott, Kelly (Tony) Tinsman, Eric (Mandy) Lueck, Jeremy (Lori) Lueck, Brian (Carrie) Lueck, Erin Imes, Gavin Imes, Garrett (Anna) Hetrick, Austin Hetrick; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles (Donna) Satterfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; daughters, Pamela Sue (toddler) and Rebecca Jean in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Peace Church in Christ in Browntown with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. A private burial will take place at Saucerman Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences can be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
