William “Bill” C. Erickson

William “Bill” C. Erickson, age 69, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on June 23, 1952 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Agnes (Bauer) Erickson.  He graduated from Maine West High School in Des Plaines, IL.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at the University of IL Chicago Campus. 

Bill married Joyce Phillips on June 8, 1974 in Rosemont, IL.  He was a truck driver for the past 20 years.  He and Joyce moved to Monroe four years ago and quickly made wonderful friendships.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed tinkering on old cars.  Bill will be remembered for his storytelling.  He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. 

William is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Sabrina (Larry) Snyder, Steve (Danielle) Erickson, and Kyle (Gina) Erickson; grandchildren, Delaney, Ty, and Kinley Snyder, Simon and Amelia Erickson, and Lucy Erickson; and sister, Marianne (Terry) Thvedt.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and sister, Marlene.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Jordan Lutheran Church in Browntown with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. 

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  Memorials may be made to Jordan Lutheran Church.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com
