Vicki Sue Coffey, age 59 of Monroe, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2021 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. She was surrounded by loved ones during her final days of life. She was born on April 6, 1962 in Portage, WI to Myron and Shelby (Galbraith) Goodhue. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1980 and received her bachelor’s degree and subsequent master’s in Nursing from Edgewood College. Vicki married Larry Coffey at Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe on June 18, 1988. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters and an especially devoted grandma to her beloved granddaughter.

Vicki served Monroe Clinic & Hospital (SSM Health) for 35 years as a dedicated nurse and in leadership roles, including Director of Women’s Services, before retiring in 2020. She loved spending time with her family and friends; playing games, cheering on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, going on trips, and celebrating holidays together. She had a special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness, leadership, wit, and deep love and dedication for her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Larry; two daughters, Cassie (Pete) Cahill, Bartlett, IL; Shelby Coffey (Bill Hurlburt), Oxford; granddaughter, Isla Sue Cahill; her stepfather Karl Schulz, Oxford; two sisters, Debra (Gary) Gardner, Westfield and Myra “Jeanie” (Tom) Wastart, Oxford; five sisters-in-law, Sue Goodhue, Oxford; Linda Goodhue, Oxford; Marcia Coffey, Bethel, AK; Joyce Hartwig, Clarno; and Vivian Coffey, Stockton, IL; aunt, Cammie (David) Quinn, Westfield; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Michael Goodhue, Sr., Mark “Mooch” Goodhue, and Gregory Goodhue; parents-in-law Richard and Jean Coffey; brother-in-law Jim Hartwig; and close friend Mary Bowers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th Street, Monroe, with Rev. Stacy Cavanaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family requests that face masks be worn by all guests age 5 and older during the visitation and funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, who are organizing a scholarship fund in Vicki’s name. Funds will benefit students from Westfield High School who are pursuing a degree in healthcare. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
