MADISON – Vicki Jan Stites, age 73 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. She was born on August 15, 1945, the daughter of Newell and Edith (Brand) Smith.

Vicki grew up on a farm with the joys of so many animals and six siblings. Graduating from Monroe High School, she then went on to beauty school. She owned her own shop and was an excellent hair stylist. She was married to Ron Stites, they had one son, Chad, who was the love of her life, as was her cat, Leah. During Vicki’s later years, she sewed for the homeless; hats, mittens, slippers, dog blankets, etc. Whatever the need, she would sew it. Vicki was loved by many and was so giving. As Chad would say, “She was a great mom, had a huge heart and lived a life of selflessness.”

A celebration of life service is being planned. A date, location and time will be added to the website once determined.
