Vera Mae Kamholz, age 89, of Juda, WI, loving mother of eight children, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 surrounded by her family at Monroe Hospice House, Monroe, WI. Vera was born on September 10, 1934 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Charles and Verda Hollenbaugh. She attended and graduated from Harlem Consolidated High School, Rockford, IL.

Vera met the love of her life David Kamholz at the Wig Wam Dance Hall in Beloit where they enjoyed dancing a good waltz or polka. They would fly around the dance floor, enjoying every minute together. They then got married on June 27, 1953 at the old stone church, Rockton, IL.

Vera and David made farming their life buying their farm in Juda in 1967. Vera was a dedicated homemaker, excellent seamstress, enjoyed baking and decorated cakes, crocheting afghans, gardening, all while raising eight children and helping out on the farm. Her family was her life. After retirement from the farm, she worked at Pinnow Pharmacy for many years.

She will be dearly missed by her eight children; Lavonne (Doug) Pinnow, Karen (Steve Christensen) Edwards, Joan, James (Erline), Chris (Amy), Craig (Becky), Kurt, and Larry (John Feldhouse), 13 grandchildren; Jeremy (Stephanie) Pinnow, Jodi (Craig) Kail, Amy (Lucas) Malcook, David Edwards, Tammy (Dan) Sutherland, Nicole Kamholz, C.J. Kamholz, Jordan Kamholz, Morgan Kamholz, Brooke Kamholz, Tyler Kamholz, McKenzie Kamholz, and Trevor Kamholz, 10 great-grandchildren; Madisyn Kail, Paityn Kail, Max Pinnow, Jenna Pinnow, Landen Malcook, Chesney Malcook, Tyler Sutherland, Scarlet Sutherland, Brooks and Benni Wiemer, sisters; Dora (Mike) Lundgren, June Anderson, and Betty Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband David, son-in-law; Duane Edwards, her parents; two brothers and a sister.

A funeral service will be held at Juda Zion Community Church, N2350 Church St, Juda, WI 53550, on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Immediately following the service burial will be held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Juda, WI.
