Theresa Wetherwax, age 66, of Monroe, Wis., passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Oahu, Hawaii.  She was born on July 11, 1959, in Evansville, Wis., the daughter of Robert and Gail Heissner.

Theresa was a strong, sassy, and beautiful soul. She was the life of the party wherever she would go. She could work hard with her hands and dress up in lights and sparkles in the same night. She loved her family and traveling with them. When she was not working, you could find her out on a motorcycle adventure or in her garden.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Gail Heissner; daughters, Nadia (Kyle Malaney) Riese, Beth (Travis) Disch and Heather (Jason Murray) Riese; love of her life, Evan Hull; sister, Cheryl Northcutt; brothers, Mark (Tammy) Heissner and Sheb Heissner; grandson, Gunnyr; granddaughters, Jenna and Minishka; and great-granddaughter, Evie. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Heissner.

A funeral Service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

A celebration of life will also be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at a location yet to be determined by the family.
