Terry Joe Grinnell, Sr., age 49, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. He was born May 29, 1976 in Monroe, he was raised the son of Ann Grinnell and Roger Henricks. He was a graduate of Monroe High School. Terry was united in marriage on July 14, 2017 in Monroe, to Heather Wiest, whom he loved dearly and enjoyed life to fullest with. 

Throughout his life Terry had worked at a couple of cheese factories in the area, he also enjoyed farming. He loved to take care of all the animals, whether they were livestock, pets, strays, or wildlife that visited his property. Terry had many talents and attributes that he utilized to help others, and was known for being a handyman. He always had a project he was working on or an engine he was tinkering with. He was the proud owner of Terry’s Lawn Care, LLC; he dedicated countless hours to his work and even teamed up with local organizations to help the elderly and handicapped with their lawn care. He loved the outdoors and liked to stay busy, even helping with his son’s business as well.

Terry was a fun-loving, family man; he liked to make people laugh by cracking jokes and pulling pranks. He always went out of his way to brighten other people’s day. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cookouts, country music, dancing, singing karaoke, playing pool, and target shooting. He will be remembered as a buttered noodle connoisseur and making elaborate cheese trays for the holidays.

Terry is survived by his wife, Heather; his mother, Ann Grinnell; the mother of his children, Norma Jo Grinnell; his children, Terry (Kari) Grinnell, Jr., Shantae Grinnell, Alecia (Joshua) Kraut, Connor Reefe, and Precious Grinnell; grandchildren, Xavier Kraut, Terry Joe Grinnell III, Joshua Kraut, Ayden Grinnell, AraBella Kraut, Peyton C. Reefe, and Lucah Wilson; his brother, Travis Henricks; dear friends, his cousins, April Shaffer and Shana Grinnell; as well as many cousins, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Henricks; and maternal grandparents, Patricia and Lester Grinnell.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Canterbury officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
