Terrence D Kubly, of West Lafayette, IN passed away on February 24, 2026 at Franciscan Health Center in Lafayette IN.  He was 79 years old.

Terry was born at St Clare Hospital in Monroe WI on November 22, 1946, the son of Beulah B. Hanson Kubly and Roy C Kubly, both of Monroe.  He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Thomas M Kubly. 

He attended South Elementary School in Monroe until the third grade when he transferred to Grove School in Jordan Township after his parents purchased the Hanson family farm west of Monroe.  He graduated from Monroe High School in 1964 and attended both Platteville State University and The University of Wisconsin in Madison majoring in civil engineering.

On December 2, 1967, he married Marguerite M (Muggie) Donny, daughter of Hedwig Aeberhart Donny and Melchior A Donny Sr at St Victor’s Catholic Church in Monroe.  He is survived by his wife Muggie and two children, Justin R Kubly (Kelley) of Louisville KY, and Nichole M Kubly (Jessica Lutts) of Boston, MA, two grandchildren, Connor M Kubly and Brody I Kubly, and their mother, Alicia Reinagle and stepdad David Reinagle.

He started his career working as an engineering draftsman for Industrial Combustion in Monroe in 1966.  In 1980 he moved his family to Hutchinson KS where he accepted a position as engineer with Superior Boiler.  In 1983 he accepted a position as engineer with Industrial Boiler in Thomasville GA and in 1991 he moved to Peru IN where he accepted a position with Bryan Steam as chief engineer.  After Bryan Steam was purchased by Burnham Holdings in Lancaster PA, he remained with that company serving various corporate level positions until retirement in January 2017.

He and Muggie have lived in West Lafayette IN since 2002, where they were members of the John Purdue Club of Purdue University for 20 years as both of their children graduated from Purdue University and their oldest grandson currently attends. 

There will be a private family gathering for Terry in West Lafayette and his cremains will be buried, at a later date, in the family plot in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
