A heart heavy with the unexpected loss of Tara K. Kleinhans, age 51, a long time Monroe attorney, on May 03, 2021.
Tara was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, the youngest of Penny and Jim Kleinhans’ five children. At the age of 16, Tara was admitted to Lawrence College (never having graduating high school). She continued her studies at Smith College where she earned a degree in American Government. Tara finally went on to earn her Juris Doctor from UW-Madison Law School in 1998, despite having three young girls (who were 2, 3, and 4 when she began school). Known for her compassion, intelligence, and kindness, Tara served her community as an attorney for over 20 years. Forever her grandma’s Irish rose, Tara is remembered for her generous and kind heart, and ceaseless desire to be of service to others.
Tara is survived by her three daughters, Jordan Kleinhans (Jeremy Hartwig), Tessa Frutiger (Devon Cline), Corinne Frutiger; her fiancé, William King; her grandchildren, Madison Hartwig, JJ Hartwig, and Briarlynn Cline; her parents, Penelope (Alwin) and James Kleinhans; her siblings, Tory Kleinhans (Deanie), Todd Kleinhans (Kim), TJ Hansen (Andreas); and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Tara is preceded in death by her brother, Tyrone Kleinhans; her grandparents, Walter and Joann (Robinson) Alwin, and John and Evelyn (Wetzel) Kleinhans; her uncles, John Kleinhans, Captain Scott Alwin, Craig Alwin, and Brent Alwin; her aunt, April Alwin; and her cousin, Tyrone Alwin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Crossroads Community Church, 222 Old Argyle Road, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, May 8, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
