Tamara “Tammy” Wenger, age 60, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Monroe Health Services.  Tammy was born in Monroe, WI to Ernest and Carol Wenger.  She attended Monroe Schools and graduated from Monroe High School in 1984.  Tammy married Todd Strait in 1987.  She was the proud mother to two beautiful children, Ashley and Dustin.  Tammy worked at various jobs throughout the community including providing care to those in need.  She was most devout in caring for her daughter Ashley until she passed in 2008. Tammy was also a helper in Sunday School.  She loved children of all ages and wanted to share about the love of Jesus to all.

Tammy is survived by her son Dustin and his wife Justina.  She was so proud to be the grandmother of six amazing grandchildren, Bailey, Liliana, Dixon, Atley, Elaina, and Creed.  Tammy is further survived by her brothers, Mark and David, Uncle Dick, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Tammy will be reunited in Heaven with her daughter Ashley, her parents; grandparents; two aunts; one uncle; and a cousin and a very special friend, Peter Steinmann Jr.. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Schupmann officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethal Hawthorn Cemetery. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
