Stephen L. “Reedo” Reed, age 73, passed away at his Monroe home amongst family August 4, 2019.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Audrey, married 26 years; his son Josh Reed; daughter Sunny Reed; stepdaughter, Chondra (Travis) Tuescher, and brother Brian (Chris) Reed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Reed of Monroe, WI.

Born March 29, 1946 in Monroe, WI, Steve graduated from Monroe High School, class of ’64, then completed Barber school in 1965. Steve moved to southern California in 1967, where he lived for 13 years. He was a foreman at McDonald Douglas Aircraft, then a Senior Supervisor for United Drywall of Southern California as well as a volunteer fire fighter.

Steve returned to Monroe in 1980 and purchased the Clarno Lumber & Supply business with his brother Brian. Best known for his years of being a ‘Lumber Man’, he found success and many long-term customers that would then become his lifelong friends.

After 37 years of being a ‘Lumber Man’, he retired and enjoyed traveling to tropical beaches with his wife Audrey. They have enjoyed many adventures together and created many beachside memories.

Steve was an active member of the Monroe Lions Club for over 20 years. He enjoyed helping his community by organizing several local activities, especially serving up beers at Cheese Days.

In keeping with Steve’s wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monroe Lions Club. Please direct donations to the Scholarship Fund.
