Scott A. Topp, age 66, of Reedsburg, WI (formerly from Monroe, WI), passed away on July 17, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1958, to the late James and Audrey Topp,  Sr. 

What can you say about a man that walked a different path? A man that we never really knew. He took a path in life that led him away from his children, taking advantage of family and others along the way. As he marched down this path, paved with bad decisions, he left behind amazing and resilient children that he barely knew and never took the time to connect with. Where he became a stranger to his children, he found friends along the way that will miss him dearly. 

As he fought a battle with ALS and complications from other illnesses, his reckless decisions were brought to light and he came face-to-face with past, seeking forgiveness in his last couple years on this earth. Let his life not be so meaning less to so many that we forget some of the good through the years.  We are all flawed in different ways, and where some choose to learn and grow from these flaws, some choose to use them in harmful and hateful ways. Do not allow the past to consume you and live with resentment in your heart.

So here’s to you Scott, to your love of shooting darts and playing pool, to all the ladies you loved through the years, to your children that managed life without you, and to finding solace on the edge of a barstool. May you rest in peace and know that despite the way you chose to live your life, there are people that care about you and will miss you, flaws and all.

A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held on August 25, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm at The Depot in Monroe, WI. 

In lieu of flowers, his children are setting up a fund to help offset expenses, as Scott lived his life on the edge, his money went to the land of bad choices. Any assistance is much appreciated and funds may be donated through Venmo @scottsservice, “last four, 5279”."
