Rosemary Hendrickson, age 68, of Gratiot, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her home. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Robert and Rosemary (Dunstan) Nethery.
Rosemary grew up in South Wayne, WI, and graduated from Black Hawk High School. On December 23, 1977, she was united in marriage to James M. Hendrickson at Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, Wisconsin. Following their marriage, Rosemary and Jim made their home and raised a family together. She was a devoted mother to their three children, dedicating herself to their care and helping them grow into adulthood.
Rosemary was a quiet soul who preferred the comfort of home. She enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles, watching television, collecting unicorns, and relaxing with a few drinks. Those who knew her understood her gentle nature and appreciated her simple pleasures.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Andrea) Hendrickson, Misty (Randy) Paulson, and Amanda Hendrickson; two grandchildren, Skyler Jerrett and Katie Jerrett; her siblings: Toni (Jon) Curran, Judy (Daryl) Lincicum, and Florence Brandenburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James “Jim” Hendrickson; two grandchildren, Aryahna Bloedow and AJ Jerrett; and her beloved dog: Callie, in the summer of 2024.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington) with Rev. Nick McElrath of First Baptist Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
