Roger A. Hale, age 69, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home.  He was born the son of Larry and Grace (Bear) Hale on December 14, 1956.  Roger graduated from Orangeville High School in 1975 and attended Highland College in Freeport.  Roger proudly served in the United States Navy in the 3rd and 7th fleet on the west coast/ Pacific Rim.  Participated in Operation Eagle Claw in an effort to free Iranian hostages. He was also stationed in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.  On December 8, 1990 Roger married Lisa Van Horn in Browntown. 

Roger worked as an Electrical Technician for Bystronic Inc out of Hoffman Estates; retiring in 2025.   He was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church.  Roger enjoyed music, fishing, and playing cribbage.  He was a avid Badger and Packer fan; and a proud owner of stock in the
Green Bay Packers “Go Pack Go.”   

Roger is survived by his wife, Lisa of Monroe; children, Sheila Bores of Glendale, WI, Staci Herrick of Roscoe, IL, Joshua Hale of St. Charles, MN, and Heather Hale of Footville; bonus daughter, Sarah Rodriguez of Evansville; grandchildren, Tyler, Abigale, Casey, Carter, and Avery; bonus grandchildren, Bella and Max; and brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Hale of Sturgeon Bay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and best friend, Robin Cross.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Union Presbyterian Church with Pastor Stacy Cavanaugh officiating. 

 A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the church with continued visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
