Rodney E. Fuchs, age 76, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Graceland Manor. He was born the son of Walter and Genevieve (Hasselmann) Fuchs on October 12, 1946 in Freeport. He attended Freeport High School. Rodney was united in marriage to Dorothy J. Horst on September 29, 1973 at the Church by the side of the Road in Rockton, IL.

Rodney farmed his entire life; he started in Freeport and Winslow before moving to Monroe (Clarno Township) where he farmed and raised his family. Along with farming he also sold Garst Seed Corn. Rodney was named Conservation Family in both Wisconsin and Illinois; and had top DHIA herd production in the state of Illinois and Stephonson County numerous times. For the past several years he and Dorothy were faithful members of Cedarville Baptist Church.

Rodney is survived his wife of 49 years, Dorothy of Monroe; his children, Sally (Craig) Combs of Rolling Meadows, IL, Wayne (Christy) Fuchs of Stockton, IL, Rebecca (Justin Cunningham) Fuchs of Ft. Atkinson, and Andy (Kristin) Fuchs of Monroe; six grandchildren, Bannon Fuchs, Mikhayla Luttropp, Paige, Lexie and Austin Fuchs, and Sarah Combs; brother, James (Gloria) Fuchs of Rockford; sister-in-law, Melody Fuchs of Dakota, IL; brother-in-law, Van Smith of Freeport, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Leland and Flossie Horst; brothers, Craig and Michael Fuchs; and sister, Connie Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Cedarville Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Pankonin and Pastor Daren Dietmeier co-officiating. Burial will follow service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
