Robert “Bob” Paul Witt

Robert “Bob” Paul Witt, age 65, of Reedsburg, WI, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2022 after an afternoon spent doing one of his most favorite things: fishing. Friends and family are deeply saddened and shocked by Bob’s sudden death. Bob was born on August 13, 1957, grew up on the family farm in Monticello, WI, attended Monroe High School, and has resided in areas throughout southern Wisconsin for all of his life.

For the past year and a half, Bob worked as a forklift operator for Seats Inc. in Reedsburg, which he loved. Prior to that, for several years between New Glarus and Reedsburg, you could find him at Culver’s, serving custard with a smile and sharing his sense of humor with staff and customers. No matter what he was doing, Bob loved to work hard, and he loved to have fun while he was at it.

Bob was always an athlete, from playing sports as a youth during high school, to bowling (for decades), to still hitting homers while playing on “old man softball” leagues. If it was for a Wisconsin sports team, he was cheering. If it involved being outdoors, he was in his element-whether camping, going for walks, working in the garden, or fishing. He enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen by creating delicious meals for those he loved, and he LOVED to brag about his daughters and their families.

Bob is survived by four daughters, Holly (Eric) Nilles, Amanda (Drew) Lichtensteiger, Kelsey (Alex) Hite, and Michelle (Jordan) Smith; eight grandchildren: Braelynn, Tenley, Mylah, Elijah, Raelynn, Acadia, Juniper, and Zion; siblings, Deb (Dan) Krattiger, Donna Witt, Carol (Randy) Wyss, John (Heidi) Witt, and Tom (Kris) Witt; many nieces and nephews; as well as his loving significant other, Linda Stolte. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Witt; his father, Paul Witt; and his brother, Alan Witt.

We will miss Bob more than words can say.
