Age 80, of Monroe, died Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Monroe Hospital. Richard was born on October 28, 1943, the son of Arthur and Ila M. (Best) Keehn. He graduated from Belleville High School in 1963 and was united in marriage to Judith K. Andrews on April 9, 1966 at the Juda Baptist Church. Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1969, spending nine months in Vietnam. He worked as a certified welder for VP Buildings for over 40 years until retiring. He always like tinkering on cars and tractors, was passionate about recycling, enjoyed cats and watching true crime and western shows. 

He is survived by his wife, Judy Keehn of Monroe; four children, Bill Keehn of Argyle, Tami (Mickey) Padulla, Kory (Jess) Keehn, both of Monroe, Nicole Keehn (Mike Rongholt) of Racine; nine grandchildren, Chris, Austin, Dart, Lani, Theo, Rhet, Douglas, Cordelia, Booker; three great grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, August; and an infant sister, Lila.

Private graveside services will be held in Jug Prairie Cemetery, rural Brooklyn. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate donations made in Richard’s name to a charity on one’s choice. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
