Randall L. Notter
Randall L. Notter

Randall L. Notter, age 67, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1954, the son of Herman and Vera (Kloepping) Notter. He was of the South Wayne class of 1974.

Randy was a lifelong mechanic; he was an expert in painting and restoration. In his free time Randy worked on restoring vintage motorcycles, helping on the farm, and hauling silage.

Randy had two passions in his life, first of those being his boys. Raising them on his own, after the passing of their mother, at the ages of 7 and 8. The constant reminder from friends and family of the job he was doing would put a shine in his eye. He was an exceptional teacher to the boys, and the most patient of any man while doing so. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them, and was always there in their times of need. He loved them with a passion most can’t understand. He leaves a truly irreplaceable place in their hearts. The second was his ability to fix or repair anything that would cross his path. From fabricating, rebuilding an engine, or a full restoration of a muscle car or motorcycle, Randy had it dialed in. He learned how to do body work from his brother Danny, and was known by many to do great work as he restored countless vehicles.

Randall is survived by his sons, Luke (Angela) Notter and their daughter, Quinn; Lance (Megan) Notter and their son, Tristan; his step-son, Chris Johnson and his daughters, Raven and Connie Johnson; siblings, Mary Jane (Bob) Tuescher, Dick (Grace) Notter, Roger Notter, and James Notter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daniel Notter and Norman Notter.

A Celebration of Randall’s Life will be held at a later date. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
