Patricia Ann Notter
Patricia Ann Notter

Patricia Ann Notter, age 80, of Browntown died on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at home peacefully surrounded by her family.  She was born on May 26, 1945 in Freeport, IL; the daughter of the late Leonard “Red” Taggart and Dorothy (Brick) Taggart.  Patricia and Daniel Notter were married on July 9, 1976 in Dubuque, Iowa; they shared 44 years together until his passing in 2009.  Pat deeply missed Daniel and although it is hard to lose her, her family can now take comfort in knowing they are together in heaven once again.

She worked at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Dorman’s Cheese, and private home care.  Patricia collected Minnie & Mickey Mouse and Coca-Cola memorabilia.  She enjoyed shopping, decorating her whole house for every holiday especially Christmas, and cherished spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Alan) Gerber of South Wayne and their children Annaya and Jorianna and her son, Ricky Notter of Madison and his children, Tiffany Notter and Seth Borgmann; her son, Terry’s children; Heather Bacher, Logan and Jordan Hermanson, Ashley, Nicolas, and Abby Alexander; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Quinten, Hudson, Liam, Aiden, Sienna, and Vivienne; and brother, Louis “Bucky” (Evelyn) Taggart.

Patricia now joins in heaven her parents; husband; son, Terry Oehl; brother, Kenneth Taggart; sister, Joyce Digmann; and her beloved dogs, Pepper and Angel.

The family would like to thank the SSM Health Hospice Home Care for their kind and compassionate care she received; especially Kelly Johnson, Wendy Ruegsegger and Hillary Hunt. We are so grateful she got to stay at home taken care of by her daughter, Jodi; her son- in-law, Alan (who she thought the world of) and her son, Ricky. Her wish was to pass at home where her husband also passed.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
