Patricia A. “Pat” Flannery

Patricia A. “Pat” Flannery, age 84, of Monroe, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at the UW-Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born February 5, 1940, at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe, WI. Pat grew up in the Argyle area and lived there her entire life where she graduated from Argyle High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Flannery on June 28, 1958, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Argyle. Together, they worked on the farm that they built and raised their family. 

Pat is survived by her children: Dr. Debbie (Michael) Flannery-Plishka of Lake Villa, IL and Dan Flannery of Juda, WI; her brother: Jerry Hassenfelt of Argyle; a sister: Geraldine (Myron) Olson of Monroe; a sister-in-law: Virginia Swingen of Argyle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald in 2016; her brother: Dick Hassenfelt; sisters-in-law: Bette Hassenfelt and Ann Hassenfelt; and a brother-in-law: Russell Swingen. 

Pat was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and its CCW, the Shamrock Club, Argyle’s Women’s Club, the Blackhawk Saddle Club, and a charter member of the Argyle Red Hats. Pat enjoyed dancing with her husband, all kinds of music especially polka, and  listening to the Statler Brothers. She loved playing games with family and friends especially Euchre, bingo and domino's.Pat was a gifted crafter and especially loved embroidery and quilting.  She was a talented baker and cook famously known by her family for her donuts and sugar cookies. She and Don shared a love of gardening and everything the farm provided. She canned the meat, vegetables, pickles, and jams that the family enjoyed each year. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with Fr. David Carrano officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pat’s name
