Mary Lou Geasland, 81, of Monroe, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Mary was born on December 28, 1944, in Cherokee, Iowa. She married Glenn Geasland on June 6, 1963 and together they raised four daughters: Cathy, Cora, Billie, and Glenda. Mary later made her home in Brodhead, Wisconsin, where she raised her girls and built a life centered around family.

Mary worked at Pleasant View Nursing Home for a number of years. After retiring, she continued doing what she loved most — caring for her family. Strong in her convictions and deeply devoted to those she loved, Mary was the steady foundation of her home. Her kitchen was always open, and she made sure no one ever left hungry.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Billie (Dan) Nipple of Brodhead and Cora (Kelvin) Pryor of Beloit; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Viola Miles; daughters, Cathy Rufenacht and Glenda Shirley; six brothers; and her former husband, Glenn Geasland.
