Marjorie May (Collins) Klentz, 82, of Adeline, IL formally from the South Wayne area, passed away November 10, 2024 from a massive stroke.
She was born May 18, 1942 on the farm at Jordan Center in Wisconsin, to Glen and Mabel (Brown) Collins. She attended Banner School and South Wayne High School.
She worked for many years at Shannon Café in Shannon, IL as well as at The Neighbors Nursing Home in Byron, IL. She loved to work with the elderly and enjoyed her days of work in Byron.
She had a knack for craft work, specifically working with yarn and plastic canvas. She was also known for her homemade donuts, always providing them for others. She also had a special place in her heart for Chihuahuas, owning several in her lifetime.
Marjorie met her husband Alvin Klentz Sr and they wed on September 6, 1959 in Orangeville. They had a busy life raising 4 children who definitely kept them on their toes.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Alvin of 65 years; her daughters, Alvina Tullis of Freeport; Norma Klentz of Rockford and Pam (Eric) Hoffman of Freeport; her grandchildren, Logan Klentz, Corey Klentz, Randall (Kira) Tullis, Christopher Tullis, Crystal (Kemal) Tatlisu, Karissa Gelafio, Alex (Carmen) Rea-Kodatt and Addison Long; her great-grandchildren, Allyson Tullis, Keegan Tullis and Sophia Tullis; her sister, Dorothy Swanson in Murray, KY; as well as some nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents; her son Alvin Jr; grandson Joshua Gelafio; brothers Donald, Marvin and Glen Jr; sisters Betty and Frances.
Funeral was on November 15th with burial at Richland Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
