Marjean Bondele, age 92 of South Wayne, Wisconsin, died Monday, September 13, 2021.  She was born on June 15, 1929 in Evansville, WI, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Priewe) Hartwick.  She attended Porter Country School.  Marjean and Orville Bondele Sr. were married on June 30, 1945 at Wiota Lutheran Parsonage.

Marjean and her husband farmed in Gratiot Township until moving to South Wayne in 1969.  She then worked for McKay Nursery Company as a sales agent.  She had a love for all animals whether it was a farm animal or a pet, they all had a special place in her heart.  Above all, Marjean was a devoted mother and housewife.  She enjoyed making large meals for all those helping on the farm.  Marjean always made sure her family got three meals a day.  She also loved antiques and Native American artifacts, especially collecting arrowheads.  Marjean was the co-author of the book “Hamilton Diggings” along with Harriet Halloran and Lucille Bisegger.   

Marjean is survived by children, Orville R. (Margie) Bondele of Gratiot, Arleigh (Donna) Bondele of Gratiot, and Greg (Karen) Bondele of Monticello, Carol (Tony) Stamm of Monroe, WI; grandchildren, Rodney (Penny) Bondele, Shawn (Deb) Bondele, Laurie (Jeff) Monson, LuAnn (Steve) Smith, Gina (Joe) Reichling, Felecia (Kyle) Meylor, Joshua (Nicol) Bondele, Cody (Emma) Stamm and Logan Stamm;  step grandchildren, Thomas (Kathy Jo) Hendrickson and Jason (Terra) Hendrickson, Jennifer (Dan) Bartkowiak, and Dawn (Aaron) Everson; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Allison, and Kristina Bondele, Aaron (Allie) Monson and Marissa Monson, Shawni (fiancé, Bryan Dee) Smith, and Rawson, Octavia, Calan, and Rella Meylor; step great-grandchildren, Bennett, Brahm, and Jack Hendrickson, Melissa (Chad) Emler, Lexie (Brandon) Buschor, Ethan and Ava Hendrickson, Brinley, Casen, Gannon, and Nyah Everson, Alexis and Konner Bartkowiak, and Gage Bayliss; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and brother Daryl “Bud” (Mary) Hartwick.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-granddaughter Sadie Grace Smith; and sister, Darlene Hartwick.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday September 17, 2021 at Wiota Lutheran Church, Wiota, WI with Pastor Myron Crawford officiating.  Burial will follow in West Wiota Lutheran Church Cemetery.  A visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.  A memorial fund is being established.
