Margaret Sonderegger, age 94 of Monroe, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Community Living in Monroe. She was born on November 10, 1925 in Monroe the daughter of Albert and Anna (Volkart) Vogel. Margaret married Robert Sonderegger on May 1, 1949 in Monroe. She was the owner of Monroe Beauty Salon for over 60 years, retiring in 2005.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post#84; and enjoyed gardening and time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children: Paul Sonderegger, Alan Sonderegger, Sandra (Gary) Amacher, Susan Wyss, all of Monroe and Nancy (Michael) Sonderegger-O’conner of Phoeniz, AZ; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Werner (Wilma) Vogel of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James; brothers, John and Walter; sisters, Rose Buholzer and Elizabeth Sigenthaler; and son-in-law, Curt Wyss.

Family visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with services to follow, at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Margaret’s name to a charity of your choice.
