Lynn M. Satterlee, age 78, of rural Gratiot, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at SSM Health – Monroe Hospital in Monroe, WI.

She was born on August 9, 1947, in St. Croix Falls, WI, the daughter of Richard and Marjorie (Lundmark) Gaarder. Lynn grew up in Kenosha, WI, where she attended school in Kenosha before moving with her family to Madison, WI. She graduated from Madison West High School and went on to attend Madison Technical College briefly before beginning her career as a paralegal in Madison.

On September 22, 1979, she was united in marriage to James Satterlee at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gratiot. Together, they made their home in Gratiot, where Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Lynn is survived by her son: Jon (Arayna) Satterlee of Gratiot; her grandchildren: Derek (Amber) Stib of Beloit, WI, and Trina Satterlee of Gratiot; her great-granddaughter: Mabel Rose Stib; two brothers: Peter (Kristi) Gaarder of Madison and Jon (Sheila) Gaarder of Exton, PA; and three nephews: Axel (Lily), Colin and Ryan Gaarder. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Marjorie Gaarder; her husband and soul mate, Jim; her parents-in-law: Harry and Mary Satterlee; and several beloved pets, including Barb, Daisy, Boo, and Sammy.

Lynn was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gratiot, where she served as the housekeeper for many years. She was also active with the Gratiot Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. A two-time cancer survivor, Lynn lived her life with resilience and strength. She was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Chicago Cubs, and she never missed watching the annual Army vs. Navy football game or listening to one of Jon's Sports broadcasts. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, spending time with her family and friends, and was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at the Gratiot Community Center (5630 Main St., Gratiot, WI 53541) with Scott Cernek officiating. A private family burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Gratiot. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. at the Gratiot Community Center.
