Linda A. (Gerber) Wheeler, age 76, of Monroe, died Monday, February 9, 2026 at SSM Monroe Hospice Home. Linda was born on February 7, 1950 in Monroe, the daughter of Werner and Hedwig (Walser) Gerber. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1968 and was united in marriage to Nathan Wheeler on Nov. 20, 1971 in Monticello. Linda worked at Swiss Colony and more recently Pick-N-Save before retiring in 2023.

Linda was a pillar to her family. She was a loving and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put others before herself.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Nathan Wheeler of Monroe; two sons, Gary (Tara) Wheeler of Stoughton and their children, Brandon (Lace) Wheeler (great grandson, Colby), Connor (Kaylea) Wheeler, Mikayla Wheeler; and Eric (Jennifer) Wheeler of Janesville and their children, Pierson and Elora Wheeler. She is further survived by siblings, Jerry Gerber, Gloria (Randy) Ringhand, Werner (Joan) Gerber Jr., and Dean Gerber. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon Gerber; a brother in infancy; and sister-in-law, Karen Gerber. 

No services will be held. Inurnment will be at a later date in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
