Keith B. Pilz

Age 83, of Browntown, died Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Aster Assisted Living. Keith was born on October 13, 1942 in Monroe, the son of Samuel and Marie (Kingdon) Pilz. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1960 and was united in marriage to Vickie Lange on February 13, 1965 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warren, IL. Keith was employed at Moore Business Forms for 29 years, D.A. Auto in Browntown, Jones Automation in Brodhead, and most recently Badger State Ethanol.

He was a Tae Kwon Do instructor for over 40 years and achieved the rank of 3rd degree black belt. He was an avid outdoorsman who hunted all over the world and was a founding member of the Pecatonica Valley Turkey Trackers. He also enjoyed taking his 1982 Toyota Supra to various car shows. Above all, Keith loved spending time with his family and was supportive of all his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vickie Pilz of Browntown; daughter, Tracey Pilz of Browntown; son, Kent “Beaver” (Tami) Pilz of Monticello; granddaughter, Shelbey (Kyle) Shelton of McFarland; grandson, Kaleb Pilz of Monticello; and his first great-grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Margo Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Saucerman Cemetery, Cadiz Township, followed by a luncheon at the Browntown Community Center. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials in Keith’s name are suggested to the Friends of Cadiz Springs State Park.
