Kamden Jacob Schultz

Kamden Jacob Schultz, age 2 months, passed away on July 4, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI.

Kamden was our sweet little man who brought us so much joy to our lives in the short time he was here. He loved to smile and his cry was one you could never forget.  He was a boy of many faces and so entertaining to watch while he was dreaming.  He always knew exactly what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to let us know.

Kamden was our rainbow baby and a miracle.  He was born with Trisomy 13, a very rare chromosomal disorder.  Most babies with this never even make it home.  We are hoping we can bring some awareness to Trisomy 13 and what it is.  We got to spend 9 weeks with our little man.  It will never be enough, but we are forever grateful for the time we had.

Kamden is survived by his parents, Mychael and Megan (Olson) Schultz; Blue and Luna his best friends and protectors; maternal grandparents, Forrest (Cheryl) Olson; paternal grandparents, Karl (Anne) Schultz; uncle Matt and Tara (Olson) Schenk, cousins, Owen, Bryn, Brielle Schenk; maternal great grandparents, Bernard (Patricia) Mumm; paternal great grandparents, Bill (Marlene) Olson; Uncle and aunt, Evan Schultz and Kayla Yanik; great grandmother, Connie Schultz and many, many other family members and friends.

Kamden was preceded in death by his uncle Jacob Olson; great grandpa Clarence Schultz and great grandparents, Gordon (Rita) Nipple.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Mary’s NICU team for all the care they gave to Kamden.
