Judith A. Schild, age 77 of Argyle, WI and LaFeria, TX passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 peacefully at her home in LaFeria. She was born April 22, 1943 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Louis and Jennie (Williams) Lamm. Judy graduated from Aquin High School in Freeport in 1961. She married the love of her life, Donald Schild on February 19, 1966 in Freeport. Judy farmed with her husband in the Argyle area and worked for GreenCo Industries for several years.

Judy was a charter member of Stephenson County Antique Engine Club in Freeport. She was also a member of the Thunderbridge Fly Wheelers Club in Argyle and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Argyle. Judy loved sharing her baked goods and decorating cakes for family and friends. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and playing games with her friends in Texas.

Judy is survived by one son: Leland (Melody) Schild of Argyle; one daughter: Jackie Siegel of Monroe, WI; seven grandchildren: Samantha, Nathan, Nicholas, and Matthew Siegel all of Monroe;, Sabrina and Michael Siegel of Brodhead, WI, and Andrew Schild of Argyle; two great-grandchildren: Mia Notter and Corbin Hartwig both of Monroe; one sister: Barbara Lamm of Freeport; and family at heart: Dennis (Brandi) Siegel of Brodhead, Jimmy Notter, Lauran and Abby Knox all of Monroe; her best friend: Margie Rohr of LaFeria; and many cousins and friends in the Freeport and surrounding area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald in 2015; and many aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 9, 2020 from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle). Burial will be November 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Freeport Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Judy’s name.
