Joseph “Joe” Frederick Heiser, age 85, of Darlington went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born the son of Frederick and Jewell (Blakely) Heiser on March 11, 1938 in Ottawa, IL. He was a graduate of Ottawa High School, and later earned his Bachelors of Science as a Medical Tech from Northern Illinois University. Joe was united in marriage to Donna Wolfe on August 2, 1959 in Ottawa, IL. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was a Resident Engineer for Town and Country Engineering in Madison for several years. He was a longtime member of Community Evangelical Free Church in Shullsburg.

Joe is survived by his children, Scott (Vickie) Heiser of Fountain City, WI, Barry (Dawn) Heiser of Monroe, Wendy (Stan) Jones-Hill of Middleton; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna O’Connor of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Jennifer York; two brothers, Donald and Charles; and a set of twins at birth.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Paul officiating. Burial will follow service in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
