Her advocation for children was not just a vocation but her calling.  Johanna began her career as a school Psychologist at the Argyle School District, a community she embraced as her own. Later, she continued to enrich lives in the Pecatonica School District, where she was a school psychologist, the director of pupil services and instrumental in starting the Early Childhood Education program.

Johanna's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She was renowned among friends and family for her culinary delights, particularly her pastitsio, homemade pizza, and cookies. A voracious reader, she was always keen to expand her knowledge and lend a hand as a mentor or role model to those in need. As a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend, she dedicated all of her free time to ensuring the happiness of those around her. Johanna had a penchant for true crime podcasts and TV shows, which complemented her sharp, inquisitive mind.

An outdoor enthusiast, Johanna relished swimming, boating, and traveling to national parks across the United States with her family, as well as enjoying serene moments in cabins up north.

Johanna’s greatest priority was being a wife and mother.  She shared an open and loving relationship with her children that nurtured their interests.
