Jerry Lee Daley, age 79, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born the son Donald and Muriel (Murphy) Daley on February 17, 1944 in Milwaukee. Jerry graduated from Monroe High School in 1962. He then proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years, stationed in Germany. On October 19, 1974 Jerry was united in marriage to Mary Isom.
Jerry worked for Briggs & Stratton as a machine operator for 31 years; retiring in 1997. He liked playing cards, especially cribbage; he also loved to watch NASCAR. He and Mary also enjoyed going on camping adventures and attending country music concerts.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jeff; siblings, Denise (Denny) Klang of Sun Prairie and Mike (Jeannine) Daley of Mason City, IA; and brother-in-law, Denny Fazel of Monroe; many nieces and nephews; as well as his loving niece, Dani (Dan DeNure) Jackson who was a constant support for both Jerry and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; one son in infancy, Robert Mark Daley; sisters, Colleen Daley and Kathryn Fazel; and niece, Kimberly Fazel.
A Celebration to honor both Jerry and Mary’s lives will be held from 1 - 4 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Vince’s Restaurant and Pizza. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.

Thank you also to Delores for adopting Jerry’s beloved dog, McGee, and bringing him for visits with Jerry while he was in the nursing home.
