Jerry Bolivar, age 55 of Monroe, died Friday, December 19, 2025 at SSM Hospital in Madison. He was born on September 21, 1970 in Toronto, Canada, the son of Eugene and Rhoda (Garrovillo) Bolivar. He graduated from Glenwood High School in Canada; and also graduated college with a BS in Computer Science. He worked as a computer programmer and virtual assistant for many years. He was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church; he enjoyed curling, pickle ball, going to the YMCA, and his family. 

He is survived by his mother, Rhoda Bolivar of Mississauga, Canada, daughters: Raven (Casey Chaera) Bolivar of Windsor, Canada and Samara Bolivar of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his father. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Monroe United Methodist Church with Pastor Zach Bloom officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
